Fun in the Tub!

This week, Ashley and Laney came and visited us and we had so much fun!!  Here they are playing in the tub together...

New Shoes

This morning, we took Hayes to get measured for his first pair of real shoes!  He had been wearing the flexible sole shoes, but now that he is borderline running we thought it was time he had some real support.  He measured 4 1/2 but she rounded up and sized him at a 5.  We ended up picking two pairs:  A pair of white "nice shoes" and some brown casual ones as well.  Below is our big boy with his new kicks!

Happy Birthday, Neyland!

Today is Neyland's 3rd birthday!  

This year has been a very hard one for Neyland.  Between a new baby, new house, being diagnosed with Addison's disease and having to take a monthly steroid shot,  all his ear infection problems and his recent urinary track infection, he (and us!) have had it rough!  I told the vet the other day how we must love him so much to put up with everything recently!  But seriously, we do love him so much and he and Hayes have truly become the best of friends.  The first thing Hayes says in the morning is "Ne Ne".  And we have to go locate him immediately!  Hayes is constantly giving him his toys to chew on and I am constantly taking them away!  Poor Neyland must be so confused!  Anyway, below are some pics of the birthday boy from today...

Fun Family Weekend

This past weekend was just gorgeous!  We decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and spend Saturday morning at the zoo.  When we got home we played outside with Neyland before the start of the Tennessee game!

On Sunday afternoon, we headed to Parker Frizzell's Pirate themed 1st birthday party!  Hayes had so much fun with all the other kids.  Here is the adorable birthday boy...

13 Months Old

Hayes is 13 months old today!  

This month has been filled with lots of new and fun adventures.   It has been so amazing to watch him learn to walk and be able to move around all by himself.  Despite having TONS of new toys to play with from his birthday, Hayes still loves getting into absolutely EVERYTHING at home!!  I've found that we both do best when we get out of the house and have a planned activity everyday.  Lately we have been going to the park,  the zoo, the Y, the pool, several indoor play gyms, the mall play area, the church nursery and recently started school!  We are moving towards taking just one longer nap each day which allows us to stay out of the house most mornings until lunch which has been great.

Hayes is eating well these days and is now completely weaned and loving his whole milk!  He is pretty independent lately except for a two week stint (right after he turned 1) when he decided to have major separation anxiety!  Thankfully, we moved quickly past that stage and he is back to his easy-going self.  He is learning new words everyday and recently loves saying "BOO".   This will come in handy since Halloween is right around the corner!  We are so enjoying these days with Hayes and loving watching him learn and grow each day.
