Gobble Gobble!

We spent our Thanksgiving visiting family in both Harriman and Sweetwater this year.  We had fun watching Hayes actually partake in his first ever Thanksgiving feast!  His favorite to consume, by far, was the chocolate pie!!  Here are a few pictures from the weekend:

30 Years

Today, at 6:32am, I turned 30 YEARS OLD!!

It is very crazy to me that I have been alive for that long!  Anyway, I am reminded lately how precious life is, and how God opens and closes doors throughout life.  I pray that over my "next 30 years" I graciously accept the good, humbly learn from the bad, and always remember that life if "but a blink of an eye" compared to the time we will spend in eternity.  I am thankful for that promise and grateful for the people that have been put in my life to journey through it with me.  I'm looking forward to this next chapter in my life, filled with new memories, lots of laughter and love!

Ecclesiastes 3

A Time for Everything
1 There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

15 Month Check Up

Today we went to see Dr. Leeper for Hayes' 15 Month Dr. appointment.  Other than having 3 shots (plus an additional flu shot), everything went great!  Hayes weighed in at 21 pounds and 15 ounces and measured 32.75 inches in length.  Although he is still in the 25th percentile for weight, he has climbed the charts and is now in the 90th percentile for height!

Here are a few pics I took while waiting for our shots:

Zoo Day

Monday morning we headed to the Zoo with our friends Christy, Gaines and Will.  It was a gorgeous fall day and we knew we had to take advantage!  Christy has a great camera and was able to take some really cute pics of Hayes and her younger son, Will.  Here are the two little buddies...

Partying like Pirates...

Yesterday, we went to one of our favorite hang outs, Shipwrecked, for Gaines' 3rd birthday!  Gaines loves pirates so the theme turned out just perfect.  Christy and Garrick went all out with the pirate decor...

Climbing fun...

Loving the books (of course)...

Then today after church, we took Hayes outside to play in the pile of leaves that Derek raked yesterday.  I'm not sure he knew what to think...

15 Months!

Today, Hayes is 15 Months Old!!

Has it really been three months since his 1st birthday?  Time is flying!  This month Hayes is learning new words constantly.  It's so amazing to see how much he is learning and soaking in everyday!  Some of the new words he is saying lately are "Bubble", "Baby", "Bible", "Teacher", "Hi" and "Bye Bye".  He loves saying "oh o" and tries to make the sound a Rooster makes by saying "Ca Ca".

He is still into absolutely everything and has recently started climbing!  He climbs up on the coffee table and the ottoman in his room.  He is always hiking his leg up even in the bathtub and the crib!  He is such a wiggler and Derek recent described changing his diaper like "trying to wrestle a pig"!

Hayes loves Neyland so much and enjoys playing keep away from him every night.  He also still loves books so much.  Hayes loves making the motions of the wheels on the bus especially the part where it says "the windows on the bus go up and down".  He puts his arms up and down a million times and has so much fun!

Hayes is a pretty good eater these days and loves his milk!  He loves all fruit and could eat turkey and shredded cheese all day everyday.  He is currently on a "vegetable strike" that we hope will end soon!  Until then, I have been buying the vegetable squeeze pouches from target...  He also loves anything Italian including pizza, spaghetti and lasagna!  Oh yeah, and he still has NO TEETH!!!

Below are a few pics we took today escaping the rain at the indoor playground at the mall:
