Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving!  

As usual, we spent Thanksgiving weekend in East Tennessee with Derek's side of the Family.  We enjoyed seeing Granny, Baboo, Tiffany, Alan, Austin, Ashton, Papaw Bland, Memaw Mary and Debbie!

The weekend was a slight whirlwind this year being in my 1st trimester and having to chase around Charlie in lots of non child friendly environments :(  I guess I was so out of it that I forgot to take pictures!!  I did however get a few pictures of the days leading up to Thanksgiving…

Charlie: 15 Months

Today, Charlie is 15 Months!  

This month, Charlie is into absolutely everything and we can't take our eyes off him for a second!  He is constantly climbing and getting into anything he is not supposed to:)

He is learning all sorts of new things each day.  Recently he moved the stool to the pantry by himself, opened it, and helped himself to some Nilla Wafers...

He still loves being outside...

And enjoys playing in the toilet and LOVES to hang out in our shower...

This month, he has also started to color and explore the world of Crayons...

Charlie still loves playing "Peekaboo" and actually said "Peekaboo" clear as day recently!  He also loves to do the "Touchdown" motion and gets really excited because everyone laughs hysterically.  He applauds everything even after someone says the blessing :)  He particularly loves Baby Genius and Sesame Street right now and will run in the room and start dancing when he hears it coming on!   He loves pretending to clean, and always wants to pull out the coffee table drawer and sit in it:)

At his 15 Month check-up, he weighed 25 pounds, 6 ounces (70th %) and is measuring about  31.75 inches in length (75th-80th %).

Hayes has been super aware lately of the differences of boys and girls.  So much so, that when he caught wind that my birthday was coming up, he insisted that I have a princess party!  I've always wanted to be a princess, just never thought I would get to be one at 32!  Here is the cake that Hayes picked out for me…

Then that weekend, Derek surprised me with a big night out!  Donna and Jim came in town to keep the kids while we ate dinner at Flemings and stayed the night at The Hermitage Hotel.  Neither one of us had ever been there before and it was absolutely beautiful!  Derek did such a great job making me feel special and so loved.  We forgot to take a lot of pics, but here is one from our amazing hotel room before we checked out…

At 32, I can honestly say that I have never felt so content, full and loved!  I'm so thankful for all my many blessings!

Halloween

Halloween this year was actually on November 1st due to severe thunderstorms on the 31st!  This year, Hayes selected our families theme of "Jake and the Neverland Pirates".  Hayes wanted to be "Cubby" and assigned the rest of us our characters :)  Charlie was "Jake", I was "Izzy" and Derek got to be "Captain Hook"!  We had some fun Halloween playdates the week of Halloween where the boys got to wear their costumes.  On Friday night, we went to a party at one of our neighbors houses and ate pizza and let the kids play.  Then we loaded up the wagon and headed out!  Below are the pics:
