Charlie's Newborn Pictures

About a week after Charlie was born, we had his official newborn pictures made!  Below are some of our favorites that our photographer (Ilde Cook with shehewe.com) took...

1 Month!

Today, Charlie is 1 Month old!  

I can't believe he has been with us now for a full month!  He has spent the last few weeks eating, eating and eating again!  He sure loves to eat and is growing so much everyday!  We have started doing lots of tummy time and he doesn't really seem to mind it so much.  Charlie is sleeping only 3-4 hour stretches at night with an occasional 5 hour stretch.  We are so in love with him and really enjoying these baby days!

Big Brother

There is nothing sweeter than seeing a big brother love on his baby brother!  Although the first week was a little rough, Hayes has become so great with Charlie.  He always says "Charlie's funny" and "Where's Charlie?" and wants to look at him really close and give him kisses!  Hayes is really into singing right now and his favorite songs to sing are his ABC's, Twinkle Twinkle, Jesus Loves Me and Ring Around the Rosie!  Last night he sang all his songs to Charlie.  

Derek has been reading a lot to Hayes at night and he no longer wants to sit and read in the rocking chair like he did for so long.  Now, he wants to lay on the floor and read.  Derek bought him a camping tent and set it up in his room and they pretend they are camping every night!  

Additionally, Hayes is doing great at school!  His teachers are always talking about everything he is saying and doing.  We couldn't be more proud of our "Big Boy Hayes!"

Neyland is 4!

This past Saturday (September 15th), Neyland turned 4 years old!  It seems like just yesterday that we  picked him up on Ferrell Lane!  Coincidentally, Neyland's birthday actually fell on the UT vs Florida game this year.  However, it didn't seem to bring our Vols much luck...

2 Weeks

Today, I took Charlie to his 2 Week appointment with Dr. Leeper!  I was shocked and relieved at the same time that not only did he gain his birth weight back, but also gained an additional pound!  He weighed 9 pounds (50%) and measured 22.13 inches in length (90%).

Our Charlie looks to be doing great and already moving his head and flashing us some baby smiles!  Below are some pictures from the last 2 weeks:

Thomas!

This morning, Derek and my Dad took Hayes to see Thomas at the Nashville Railway!  Despite the rain, they seemed to have a great time riding the train and seeing all the sites!
