Catching Up

I can't believe it's already the end of January!  We have been really busy, but I wanted to share a few pictures that I had taken the last few weeks:

Here is Hayes enjoying Neylands bed...

And riding him like a horse...

Hayes has always been an extremely messy eater.  Here is a typical day at our kitchen table...

A dinner date with Audrey, or who he likes to call "Audra"...

And we recently ditched the high chair and moved to a booster seat.  Here he is testing it out while practicing his coloring skills...

Graceyn Elizabeth Newton

Welcome to the world baby Graceyn!  Amy and Blake welcomed their sweet little girl into the world on January 30th weighing in at 7.3 pounds and measuring 19.5 inches!  Here she is!

The proud Mama...

Posing in my pink with the girls...

Congratulations!

Park, Picnics and Parties

We have been having some fun out and about since Christmas! Our friend Christy did a much better job of taking pictures, so I stole them to put on our blog!

Hayes and Will sharing snacks at Shipwrecked...

The boys...

Having fun on the dinosaurs at Granny White Park...

A picnic lunch with friends on Hayes' new table...

Having fun at Karlyn's 3rd birthday party...

The birthday girl...

The boys table...

Loving his cupcake!

Thanks Christy for the pictures!

17 Months!

Today, Hayes is 17 Months Old!

We don't have another child to compare him to, but everyone has told us that he is extremely verbal for his age!  (imagine that...)  He pretty much can repeat the majority of what we ask him to.  It is so neat to hear him say new things everyday!  Whenever we go somewhere he proudly shouts and points to us saying "Mama" and "Daddy" to make sure everyone knows who we are.  This month, his personality has come out stronger than ever complete with full blown meltdowns and temper tantrums when he doesn't get what he wants.  He quickly can go from a tantrum to a full blown belly laugh in a matter of seconds! Such a dramatic little guy...

Hayes has really grasped following directions lately.  He can locate pretty much any object we ask him to and is great at picking up after himself.  One of my personal favorites!  In the last few months we have tried a few new classes at both Gymboree and My Gym.  He seemed to love it and picked up on everything really quickly.

Despite an ear infection and coming down with a little bug, this month has been great.  We are still recovering from the holidays and Hayes is enjoying all of his new toys!  Below are a few pics from the last day or so.

Here he is riding his "scooter"!  He loves being pushed sitting (as well as standing) down our hall...

Playing with his new musical instruments...

We love you, Hayes!
