Dallas

Derek and I just returned home last night from a weekend away in Dallas.  Derek had a work conference there last week so I flew up on Thursday night to join him since neither of us had been to Dallas before.  We stayed at the Westin Galleria which was actually in the mall!  I have never slept so close to an LV in my life!-haha

On Friday when Derek got finished with his meetings we spent the day shopping at the Galleria and then headed next door to the Buy Buy Baby to test strollers.  They had EVERYTHING!!!  I don't know why Nashville does not have one of these!  It is SO much better than Babies R Us!  After shopping, we went to a nice dinner at a restaurant called "The Grille" and treated ourselves to steaks.

Saturday, we headed to downtown Dallas to do some sight seeing.  We visited the Dallas aquarium and then toured the spot where JFK was shot.  We went upstairs to the actual building where the man who shot him had been (which is now a museum).  I had no idea that this had happened in Dallas!  Afterwards we drove down and saw the new Dallas Cowboys stadium which was also right next door to the Texas Rangers stadium that George W. Bush owns.

All in all, we had a great weekend just the two of us.  We are trying to get away as much as possible now while we can!  We didn't take any pictures, but below are a few of the landmarks we visited:
