Hayes is 4 months old today!! This month he has really started to change and develop his own little personality. He is getting even stronger during tummy time and lifting up with both arms. He doesn't like spending too much time in his bouncer, swing or even his excersaucer these days. He much prefers to just lay on the ground where he can move freely and roll around. He rolls front to back and has just recently rolled back to front a few times. He loves putting his legs straight up in the air and moving them from side to side. He sits up great in the bumbo and sat in the high chair for the first time this month. He has started to try to pull himself to a sitting position when he is laying in our laps. He absolutely LOVES standing up (obviously when assisted).... Anytime he is fussy he immediately stops crying when we let him stand! He holds his head up with such strength these days and loves grabbing for toys and pulling them close to him. He really likes his Elmo toy lately and loves watching "Play With Me Sesame" on On Demand. He is constantly having little "conversations" with us or even himself and is laughing more and more every day. Lately, it just cracks him up every time you pull his shirt over his head! He is smiling constantly and loves looking at himself in his mirror.
He HAD been sleeping through the night (8pm to around 6:30am) for about a month now. However, we have recently regressed in the last week. We have been experimenting with non-swaddling and dropping a feeding so I think all this might have something to do with it. Additionally, he has started drooling and has never done that before. Some think he is showing early signs of teething but this is hard to believe since I got my teeth extremely late!! Anyway, last night was better so hopefully we will be back to good sleeping soon.
The biggest change this month has been his weight gain. He is really starting to fill out especially when looking at older pictures! He is wearing all 6 month clothes and some 6-9 month outfits. We think he could weigh anywhere between 14 and 16 pounds! He has his check-up on Monday so we will know for sure then.
