20 Months

Hayes turned twenty months on April 3rd (last Tuesday) while we were visiting friends in Kansas City!  I was hoping to announce on this post that we had spotted a tooth, but it looks like Hayes is setting a new family record!  However, I really do think that some are on the way (yes, I know I say this every month) but, really, several places in his mouth seem to be extremely swollen...  Despite having no teeth he enjoys brushing them every morning when he sees me do it.   So when we get them, he will be ready!  

Everyday brings lots of laughs these days with Hayes.  Below are a few fun things he is doing lately...

-He loves telling you what color everything is, and is right about most of them except for anything that is a shade of orange he calls "Peach".  It is absolutely hysterical!

-When you ask him if he wants to do something he says "OOOOO KAY"

-He repeats almost everything you say

-Every time I wipe his nose he says "Booga"

-He is obsessed with blueberries and calls them "BB's"

-Whenever he finishes a meal he looks at you and says "cookie?" or "cake?"  (we have no idea why this is...)

-He loves playing with stickers (especially sesame street themed ones)

-He always wants to talk about "animals" and names off all of the ones he's seen lately

-He grabs my cell phone and says "Papa?"

-He is calling my mom "GaGa" and my sister "Aunt B" 

-He alerts us when he goes to the bathroom and says "PooPoo".  We are starting to have lots of conversations about using the "Potty"!

-His favorite part of the day is when daddy comes home and shoots "hoops" in the driveway with him.  He LOVES basketball!

-He is obsessed with going "outside" and will stand at the door and say "out" even during torrential rainstorms.  He also loves going down the slide and gets very frustrated when he can't also go up the slide...

-Neyland and Hayes play pretty rough especially at night.  Hayes will pull huge chunks of hair from him and pull his tail.  Neyland will bite his arms and steal his toys.  We figure it must not hurt too bad since Hayes keeps going back for more!

-Hayes is totally ALL BOY and has bruises, scrapes and cuts all over his body.  He has no fear and is definitely keeping us on our toes!

*We are loving our little 20 month old so much!  Everyday truly gets better and even more fun!!*
