Seagrove Beach

We just returned home on Saturday from our family beach trip!  We normally go the 3rd week in June but decided to take advantage of the cooler weather in April and the lower rates and fewer crowds between the Spring Break and Summer rush.  We always stay somewhere on 30A and this year we had our first repeat in Seagrove beach!  Seagrove is great because it is centrally located on 30A and close to everything.  We decided to drive down due to the obnoxious amount of stuff we took and were pleasantly surprised at how well the boys did!  Thanks to DVD players and a little strategizing, we were able to make the entire trip there stopping twice and back only stopping once!

We stayed at One Seagrove Place in a 2 bedroom/2 bath condo on the 20th floor!  Even though we didn't get to spend as much time as we would have liked on the actual beach, we felt like we were there the whole time with our incredible view...

The first day, we woke up and hit the beach!  Charlie was our happy little beach bum...

And Hayes had fun building sand castles with daddy...

Charlie even napped on the beach!

And tested the sand.  Yum...

Beach belly love...

The boys enjoying our heated pool...

On Sunday night, we drove down to Panama City to have dinner with Granny and Baboo who drove down their camper for the week!  Here we are trying to get a family pic afterwards at Pier Park...

Monday was spent on the beach as well...

Monday night we went to "Red Bar" for dinner in Grayton Beach and then met up with The Berry's to play at Seaside!  Here are all four boys in their matching sibling outfits...

The babies...

Here are the boys at the beach on Tuesday!  I decided to take down Charlie's paci to prevent anymore sand eating...

Charlie wasn't too sure about the waves...

Unfortunately Tuesday night we found ourselves at a walk in clinic with Hayes who ended up sick with a sinus infection and pink eye :(  So Wednesday we decided to take it easy and headed to Alys beach.  A take out lunch from George's and playtime at the "beach playground" was just what the doctor ordered...

Tickle time at the condo...

On Wednesday night, Granny and Baboo were kind enough to come babysit while we snuck away for dinner!  Here we are at "V" in Seagrove...

On Thursday, we woke to overcast skies so we headed to Destin to the Gulfarium!

On Thursday night, we met the Berry's again for dinner at La Cocina in Rosemary Beach.  We didn't get any pictures of the boys because it was crazy!  I'm pretty sure everyone in the restaurant was happy to see us go :)

Unfortunately the weather didn't get much better towards the end of the week.  We braved the beach and pool Friday morning but ended up coming in because it was just too windy.  We ended our trip at one of our favorites "Old Florida Fish House" with Granny and Baboo.  At this point, the boys were over having their pictures taken!

Attempting...

All in all, i'd say it was a good trip despite some sickness and undesirable weather. Definitely not the most relaxing, but I think the boys had fun which was our ultimate goal.  Now, on to planning Derek and I's vacation from our vacation!

Oh and a big "Thank You" to my mom who made enough "beach themed" coordinating outfits for the week!  Although they may have not been the best behaved, i'm quite sure they were the best dressed :)
