Fort Lauderdale

This year, we took a very early beach trip the first week of April.  Since I am due in June, it was the last week I could travel.  We usually go somewhere on 30A, but decided to fly further south this year in hopes of warmer weather!  We went with the Berry family who have two boys the same ages of ours.  Lisa is also due with her third the end of May.  We decided on Fort Lauderdale and had amazing weather!  It was warm and sunny everyday and the boys had a blast.  Other than being pregnant and tired, the only other issue was that we stayed in a hotel room instead of a condo.  Although the hotel was really nice, it was defintely a challenge being in one room!

It is next to impossible to get pictures of the boys lately, so most of them are candids.

Charlie enjoyed his very first flight and was obsessed with airplanes!

We arrived in Fort Lauderdale with four exhausted boys who didn't have naps...

We decided to go check out the beach when we arrived!

Our first day we was spend at the beach and then the pool.  The boys were hesitant at first, but loved it...

Going to dinner in our 15 passenger van we rented!  Charlie and Sam loved holding hands...

On Tuesday, we went on a Pirate Cruise in the ocean!  Hayes was actually pretty scared at first because they make it seem so real.  He ended up loving it and still hasn't stopped talking about it!   Here they are getting their sunscreen before we departed...

Raising the Jolly Roger!

Pirate Limbo!

They had really fun water cannons off the boat for the kids to use...

Oh no!  Barnacle Bill, the bad pirate, came up next to us in the boat and the kids had to attack him with the water cannons!  They made it so fun and even played dramatic pirate music...

Below are the kids trying to figure out how to find the treasure...

Attempting a family picture!

We did a lot of swimming at night...

On Wednesday, we went to the Miami Zoo!

The Zoo also had a great splash pad and playground that was worth the trip alone!

Our last days were back at the beach and pool...

Attempting more family photos on our last night...

And we can't forget our momentous trip home!  Charlie had a huge blowout on the plane which left him in his diaper:)
