Today, our baby is 8 Months Old! We have absolutely enjoyed watching him grow and reach new milestones this month. Each day just keeps getting better and better!
This month we have stayed pretty much on the same eating schedule and have tried all sorts of new fruits (Peaches, Raspberries, Plums, Prunes, Apricots & Blueberries) and vegetables (Squash, Corn, Green Beans & Spinach). He definitely prefers the orange/yellow veggies over the green ones! We added lunch for the first time today and it went well. We are continually amazed at how quickly he is growing!
We have finally reached the "light at the end of the tunnel" as Hayes now goes to bed around 7:30-8pm and sleeps until 8 or 8:30am! Derek and I have even started setting our alarm clocks again in the morning!! He wakes up in a happy mood, finds his pacifier in the crib (which is awesome!) and plays with his toys until I go and get him up to nurse. I love how he has recently started to reach out his arms for me to get him! That is definitely one of the best parts of my day...
Our little man has really been on the move this month! He can scoot and army crawl across the room, move in circles in a full 360, and can crawl backwards. He recently learned how to sit from a laying down position and is so close to full fledged crawling anytime! He can crawl about 3 times before he face-plants on the floor. Poor little guy has rug burn on both of his little knees! The workers in the church nursery call him "the acrobat"...
Hayes does not like to be restricted and loves to play freely on the floor as much as possible these days. I bought him some Easter eggs from the grocery store that he has been obsessed with and likes taking them out of the bowl one at a time! He really enjoys books lately and being able to flip the page. His favorites are his mini Elmo books and the "peek a boo" books with the flaps. He loves watching and laughing at Neyland and Neyland seems to like Hayes more everyday. Below are a few pics of playtime from the last week...
Today, we took advantage of the nice weather and played outside! He wasn't sure how he felt about the grass...
But he loved playing on the blanket (with the eggs, of course...)
*Thanks for another amazing month!! We love you so much baby Hayes!!*

We have got to get them together soon! So funny that they are doing the same things! Oh, and I can't tell you how excited I am that Bennett can finally find his own paci in his crib. I thought the day would never come!
