One of the perks of running the Music City 1/2 Marathon for Waves of Grace was being entered in a drawing for a free beach trip. And to my great surprise, I won! We decided to go the last week of August before the kids started school. On our way to St. George Island, we passed through "Marianna" town. We stayed in a great house that had a bedroom for everyone. St. George Island is extremely laid back and we had the beach to ourselves each day! We had quite the load of toys and such, and it was really fun seeing Marianna walk and play in the sand for the first time!
Towards the end of the week, we started to miss our old stomping ground. So we loaded up and drove 2 hours to 30A where we stayed a night in Sandestin and celebrated Charlie's 3rd birthday!
