Giving Thanks

This year, we have SO much to be thankful for.  And at the top of our list, of course, is sweet baby Hayes. We cannot imagine our lives without him and feel incredibly blessed to have him as our son.  We traveled to East Tennessee this year for Thanksgiving to visit Derek's family while my parents went to NYC to visit Jenny Beth.  Below are some pics:

We are also especially thankful this year for the life of Derek's grandfather who passed away just before Thanksgiving at 90 years old.  Ray Bland played a huge role in Derek's life as well as many others.  He was patient and kind and inspired others to be more Christ-like through his actions.  I am so blessed to have known this amazing man for a few years and am thrilled that Hayes was able to meet his great grandfather.  I know that his legacy will continue to live on through the Bland family for many years to come.  We love and will miss you Pap Paw Bland!!
