December was a very busy but fun month for us! Last year, at a "Dirty Santa" party, I got a precious advent Christmas tree that had little boxes that opened for each day of the advent season. Each morning, the boys would run to open the "box of the day" and count down to Christmas! Most days had some sort of treat and a Christmas activity. Some of our favorites included:
-Our "Elf on the Shelf's arrival (we named him "sweet cakes" this year)
-Christmas movies (Hayes' favorite this year was "Elf on the Shelf" and Charlie's was the original "Grinch")
-Snowman window clings
-writing letters to Santa
-making a gingerbread house
-going to a live nativity scene
-ICE at Opryland
-Orpyland hotel (lights, dinner, boat ride & another Santa visit)
-Sunnyside lights
-Jellystone lights
-donating a toy to "Operation Christmas"
-Breakfast with Santa
-Nativity scene coloring
-lots of Christmas crafts
